Tech arrived earlier than expected but waited while I drove from work. Already had the problem figured out by the time I got there. Only took 20 minutes to complete and he even fixed a couple of small problems like reattaching rubber strip on the bottom of garage door and replacing batteries in wall switch.

This survey regards Precision Garage Door Service of "Goldsboro." I live in Southern Pines, NC. No matter, here goes: First off, I have no idea about the amount I paid. I mean, who in the general public is competent to judge garage door repair service charges? That said, 5 x 3 stars for responsiveness. The company sent the repair guy almost immediately; and it was right up against 4th of July time at that. The technician was Mike Hazell. Since his first name is the same as mine, I figured he'd do a good job. He did, as far as I can tell. And he did it chop-chop -- within about an hour, I think. I gave him a cold diet Dr. Pepper and encouraged him to stand in front of the garage fan. After all, it was bumping a hundred degrees. And here's the thing, I am a certified car nut and have two nice buggies in my garage; and they were worthless to me before Mike came. That's because the garage door was stuck! Wouldn't go up, wouldn't go down. So there was no way I could use the things inside. Mike made all those problems get away -- 10 more stars!

My tech Teddy was very professional from the time he arrived on my property until he left. I told him my problem and he gave me a demonstration on what was going on with my door. He performed my work in the sweltering heat. Once my work was complete he did a thorough clean up. Definitely five stars for Teddy.

Would have given 5 stars if the service tech showed up as scheduled. We wasted an afternoon waiting only to find out late in the day that he couldn't come until the next morning. Other than that everything was fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. The service tech was very nice and was apologetic for the day late arrival.

I had a good experience with Precision Door from my consultation to the installation. The only issue I had was during installation the door had to be adjusted and the locking mechanism was not available and had to be installed on another day. The installer and salesperson were great. Today is completed in its entirety and I’m very happy with the results. My installer Jonathan was the best because he was very personable, accommodating, patient respectful and very knowledgeable about his work and his pride in his work was outstanding. Very displeased with the interaction I had with your company this morning. I was charged 101 dollars for your tech within 1 minute of being here telling me that your company doesn't carry the spring assembly I have and still want. The number i called this morning after telling them what I had was told that wouldn't be a problem. I would have never had you guys come and cost me 100 bucks if I was told that you didn't carry my spring. I understand they are probably a call center but they should not make statements as they did. The service tech told me this is a problem and if so, you would think that something would be corrected. The interaction has soured my taste and I hope something is done. I have worked in the fire service for 30 years in town and I hope if you service any of our stations that business is not conducted as I saw this morning. I have nothing good to say after this morning and hearing that your tech echoed my feelings from customers who have had the same experience.

I informed the call center of my issue and the type of spring assembly I had on my garage door. The call center gave me a unofficial route and dispatched a repair technician. Upon the arrival of the technician, he quickly, literally a minute after walking in my garage informed me that they did not carry the spring assembly I was wanting prompting me to tell him that I only wanted what was matching to the other door. I was told that he would route their alternative which he stated before he even started the route process that it would run roughly 1100 dollars. I quickly told him no thank you and that I could have it done by a competitor in town much cheaper abd matching what I had. He still completed the route with the over 1000 dollar price. I paid 101 dollars for a qoute even after a minute being on site I was not interested. The technician advised me that this was a huge problem and that he had faced this many times before. The call center should not lead potential customers on which causes them to lose 101 dollars. I feel this is bad business and in a time of economic strain on the community, this is not right. Obviously a problem if the service tech tells me they are the victim of upset customers who saved the same as I did this morning.
