I was scheduled for a garage door assessment/repair appointment today April 29th between 10 am and 2 pm. Technician Mike Hazell called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, I gave him quick overview about my garage door's history and what led up to its current malfunction. Mike provided me and my wife with a detailed assessment of our garage doors' condition and professional and realistic steps we could take to move forward. The information Mike provided us enabled us to make a well-informed decision to move forward. We decided to purchase a new garage door. Our current door lasted for 16 years (we purchased our house in 2010). We are satisfied with our choice and are excited for the new installation scheduled for a week from today. My experience with Precision Garage Door Service was great from the phone call, to the promptness and excellent work of the technician, Miller Henderson, to the payment process. Everyone was nice, courteous and polite - a pleasure to work with. When I called to ask for someone to come and evaluate my issues, I was surprised that they offered me a time the same day! It wasn't long before Miller called to say that he was just 10 minutes away and could come even before the appointment window that was set up, so I took him up on that. Precision Garage installed my new doors in 2023, was very pleased with the new and quiet doors. Last week one door just stopped working, easily booked an appointment and a friendly, courteous technician arrived as scheduled, diagnosed the the issue and replaced lift moter and surge protector. Because of the surge protector he observed it was still under warranty, saving us nearly $1000, we only owed the service call fee. Greatly appreciated the service of technician Nathan who also had great communication with his manager throughout the process. My garage door is 10 years old, I called because I could not open the door manually without a lot of effort, it was also making a binding noise when opening. Andy Maynard came out and checked the door operation, he found several things that were not up to code and why I was having trouble. One of the main problems was the door had only 1 spring, it needed to be 2 springs because of my door size. He gave me several options of what I could do to make the door operate properly. He made all the changes I selected and now the door works great. Andy explained everything to me and he is very good at what he does. After he made the changes the door works perfectly and I can open it manually with one hand. If you have garage door issues, call Precision Door, I promise they will fix any problems you have.
